It was a battle of the '63 Corvette Aeromotive Nitro Coupes in the Moroso finals, with Florida racer Dan Bandish taking the win. Virginia's Ken "The Kid" Walsh capped off a successful season in the Aeromotive Nitro Coupe ranks with a runner-up finish in Moroso Scary moments in round one at Moroso as the Nitro Coupe of Jim Wiens went out of control, slapped the left hand well, then crossed the race track to impact the right side retaining wall The safety equipment built into Aeromotive Nitro Coupes worked. Wiens is shown at right shortly after the incident Mike Kessler drove his classic Olds 442 to a win in the Jeg's Bracket Two Battle at Moroso
Ed Mucherino of Okeechobee, FL took the Bracket Two runner-up spot Shane McFadden of
Orlando, FL won the Moroso DOT Street Fight
Shay Baranowski of Cocoa, FL was runner-up in DOT but scored a 13-second class win in TREMEC True Street competition There were two classes of Jr. Dragster racing at Moroso; Jordan Sachs of Loxahatchee, FL won the 8-12 year old class Josh Howard of Stuart, FL won the 13-17 year old Jr. Dragster Challenge
The huge Moroso crowd was always looking down track as the Nitro Coupes and jets leave the line in a hurry Joel Harris is not your average wheelstander See what we mean? See the big blown Chevy engine in the back of Joel's ride...which is all Elvis-themed They must have seen a hunk a burning love....
Keeping the gasser legend alive Ken Kershaw's vintage Chevy was picked as one of the Drag Race Top 10 best appearing rides Paul Miller rocks South Florida with the Blaze of Glory jet Funny Car The Al Hanna-owned Top Secret driven by Ken Hall was a huge hit in TREMEC True Street competitors duke it out on the strip after a 25-mile road trip
Bob Hall was in fine form with the awesome Airborne Express Moroso Super Chevy fans put their thumbs in the air to encourage Bob Hall, the King of the Wheelstanders, to rip off another 1/4 mile on two wheels steering with the brakes A huge field turned out for the season's final TREMEC Transmission Car Show Series.  Les & Bonnie La Folette of Ormond Beach, FF won the Saturday Special Camaro Performers Editors Choice Award with their '68 Camaro Lou & Sharon Telly of Naples, FL, won the ISCA "Pick of the Show" with their '71 Nova Tim & T.J. Brown of Brooksville, FL, won the Classic Parts of America-sponsored "Outstanding Classic Truck"  Award with this cool '72 Chevy p/u.
