Thanks to Alabama fans for a huge "welcome back" for the O'Reilly Super Chevy Show Southern doorslammer legend Jerry Rhodes took the Aeromotive Nitro Coupe Challenge in Montgomery Here's a shot of Jerry minus the fire suit and helmet Jeff Balton took the runner-up slot at Montgomery Motorsports Park The legendary Lowmad didn't make the finals but put on a great show for the Super Chevy fans
Jimmy Blackman took the Outlaw 10.5 event at Montgomery's O'Reilly Super Chevy Show Here's a close up of Jimmy and his Crew Jessie Harris flirted with 300 mph on Saturday and smashed through with a 300.40 mph blast on Sunday Phil Cooper was the overall winner in the TREMEC True Street Challenge presented by Mr. Gasket Yes, that's a Volvo owned and driven to a TREMEC True Street Challenge runner-up by Jerry Henslee
Rick Magar was the True Street 7.0 index winner Denny Beavers was the True Street 9.0 index champ Gary Thompson had an other-worldly 3/1000 package to win the ProCharger Bracket One Brawl Hometown Hero Cole Cousins of Millbrook, AL took the Bracket One Runner-Up Allen Reno had a good day at the office, winning the Jegs Bracket Two Battle
Footbrake heavy hitter Jared Pennington was runner-up to Reno Gary Tapley won the always tough 1/4 mile DOT Street Fight Bracket Two winner Allen Reno just missed a two-peat as he fouled by .003 in the DOT finals The Super Chevy version of tailgating at Montgomery Motorsports Park Our kind of golf cart
The TREMEC Transmission Car Show was awesome at MMP. Velton Hanks of Pensacola, FL, took the Award of Excellence with his '55 Chevy  A classic car in a classic color won "Best 55-56-57" for Scott Cramer of Columbus, GA.  Thanks to Trim Parts for sponsoring the class Freddie Blanton of Columbus, GA won the 'Best Big Car" sponsored by Soffseal Rick's First Generation Camaros sponsors the "Best Camaro" award won by Ralph Brown of Wellington, Al Mike Tolbert of Forest, MS won the "Best Chevelle" sponsored by Original Parts Group
How cool is this '41 Willy's owned by Ken Fakouri of Opelousas, LA which won the "Best Conversion" sponsored by Auto City Classic Glass rockauto.com sponsors the "Best Early Chevy" won by Denny Lecompte of Montegut, LA Wayne Banister of Marietta, GA won the "Best El Camino" sponsored by National Parts Depot with this '76 classic Wilsonville, AL couple George and Patricia Cash won the "Best Monte Carlo" sponsored by Jeg's Mark Echols of Ohatchee, AL won the "Best Nova" award sponsored by The Right Stuff Detailing

Mark Whitlock, Jr. of Indian Springs, AL, won the Saturday Camaro Performers Editors Choice  with this '68 Camaro Kevin Goddard of Baker, FL, won the ISCA Pick of the Show with his '70 Chevelle Not much more to be said about the Saturday Outstanding Custom Rod owned by Charlie Carlton from Broussard, LA One look and you'll know why Ken Fakouri of Opelousas, LA won the "Outstanding Engine" award with this '41 Willy's The Saturday Special "Outstanding Interior" went to David Schwartz of Cantonment, F and this '68 Camaro
