The fastest nostalgia pro stocks in the country are set to invade “the fastest track in Michigan” – US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, MI – on May 29th and 30th to participate in the Super Chevy Show/Night of Thunder event. This will be the first time this group has visited this iconic race track.
Bill Neri, with his Warren Johnson ‘74 Camaro Mountain Motor tribute car, has been knocking on the door for his first 6 second pass in Nostalgia Pro Stock. Bill tells everyone that he has always loved the Super Chevy Show and believes that US 131 is one of the best tracks in the country! Another first for the group will be the maiden voyage of “Jungle” George Kubis’ awesome “Billy the Kid”, Stepp 426 hemi-powered Arrow. I know it’s not a bow tie, but everyone likes a hemi-lenco car!
The rivalry between Mark “Grumpy” Pappas and Ted “The Patriot” Peters is at fever pitch. Mark told us, “I am pulling out all the stops. Whatever it takes to put Ted on the trailer.”
“Bring it on bow tie boy I am ready,” retorted Peters.
Chuck “Test Monkey” Weck will be in the house with his mountain motored, Team Strange Firebird. This is one very fast F-Body and Chuck always puts on a show.
Every Nostalgia Pro Stock event would not be complete without a Bill Jenkins car, so “Grumpy” fans will not be disappointed with Mike Ruth behind the wheel of the very popular Pappa’s Motorsports Grumpy’s Toy XVI ‘81 Camaro.
