Comments Off on LMC Truck Life Award Added to Menards Chevy Series TV Show on Velocity
The growing passenger truck category at SCSW produced Super Chevy Shows has caught the attention of TV producers and sponsors alike. This season, the LMC Truck Life award, provided by LMC Truck of Lenexa, Kan. will recognize an outstanding pickup truck selected by car show judges at each event.
The owner of the winning truck will receive the new LMC Truck Life award during Saturday car show ceremonies, as well as have their truck filmed for the Menards Chevy Series TV show which airs on consecutive Saturday mornings at 9:30am ET on the Velocity Channel in the 4th quarter of 2016. The first on-site event of the 12-show series begins the 2nd weekend in May and stretches to mid-November.
More than 2 million viewers tuned into the Menards Chevy Series on Velocity in 2015, and the audience is expected to continue its growth pattern with new awards and new content including drone camera footage starting at the Virginia show. Participants are encouraged to find event information at www.superchevyshow.com, and Facebook.com/SuperChevyShow. All filming for the Menards Chevy Series takes place on Saturday of each weekend show.

EXAS MOTORPLEX TO PLAY HOST TO MAJOR RIVARLY EVENT: TEXAS SHOOTOUT TO PIT CHEVY VERSUS FORD, JULY 2
Two Car Shows in One will be Completed with a FREE City of Ennis Fireworks Show
ENNIS, Texas (Jan. 5, 2016) – What’s in a brand? What’s YOUR preferred brand? If it’s either Chevy or Ford, plan on being at Texas Motorplex to defend your favorite American auto brand as two car shows will be held in one giant celebratory day: The Super Chevy Show and the Fun Ford Series will be held on July 2.
Car show awards will be awarded to the best-of-the-best for both car shows. The difference this year? The winners of each matching categories will go head-to-head in a showdown for a Texas Shootout trophy.
The best muscle car from Ford that day will be judged against the best muscle car from Chevy that day. The winner will take home the grand award along with bragging rights big enough to carry the Texas name.
“We’re harnessing that intense rivalry and passion fans have for Ford and Chevy,” Texas Motorplex President and General Manager, Gabrielle Stevenson, said. “By combining Fun Ford Series and Super Chevy Show we are raising the bar and adding another layer to the fan experience at these popular events.
“The rivalry between these two brands is among the richest of any rivalry. We want to have some fun and see who comes out on top that day in the car show and drag racing.”
Also adding to the fan interaction at the Texas Shootout is a category for “daily driver” cars. If anyone can appreciate the “Daily Driver” car show award category, it’s everyone who owns a Ford or Chevy and gets to drive it every day.
“We didn’t want to leave out Chevy and Ford fans that may not have the time or money to restore classic cars, but take pride in the vehicles they drive every day,” Stevenson said.
In a unique gesture, gates to the Texas Motorplex will swing wide open for free entry starting at 3 p.m. so fans will be able to watch the car show awards, exhibition runs, and a live band. Then at sunset, the City of Ennis will present the free 4th of July celebration fireworks show.
The Texas Shootout will also feature staples the Manufacturers Series events have become known for: a car coral, an extensive swap meet and a host of car part vendors on a large midway. Stay tuned for more information, special ticketing offers and more at www.texasmotorplex.com, on Facebook or download the FREE Texas Motorplex mobile app.
Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
