MEMPHIS INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY PLANNING ANOTHER HISTORIC SUPER CHEVY SHOW PRESENTED BY CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE IN 2013

MILLINGTON, Tenn., (January 23, 2013) – After a phenomenal return to the Series in 2012, Memphis International Raceway (MIR) is counting on Super Chevy Show fans and participants in the Mid-South to break last year’s historic records, securing its place once again as one of the largest Super Chevy Show events in the Series. The Super Chevy Show presented by Chevrolet Performance will stop at MIR, April 12 – 14, 2013.

Beginning at noon on Friday, the three-day car show starts with a Show & Shine Festival of Cars, with specialty awards on Saturday and Sunday’s activities concluding the event with the coveted class awards.

Through the end of February, three-day car show participants can take advantage of a pre-registration special that includes 1 weekend passenger entry ($35 value) with paid $45 car show entry, by clicking HERE to download the form.

The drag racing action also starts Friday night with the popular MIR Test & Tune, and the launch of the weekend’s Pro Mod and Mean Street qualifying, as well as a first look at the exciting Pro Show. Saturday, the 5th generation Camaros will go head-to-head in the CamaroGuys.com Gen 5 Challenge trophy class, and the True Street and Bonus Races. While all three days MIR will host the DriveDuracell.com Bracket 1, Bracket 2, D.O.T., Jr. Dragster and Run for the Money eliminations.

In addition, the event will include three days of Pro Mod Eliminations and special Pro Show attractions by Hanna Motorsports, with the Top Secret Jet Car driven by Ken Hall and the return of Rich Hanna’s GOJO Firebird, Pontiac Jet Car, as well as the popular Super Winch Wheelstander, driven by Danny O’Day.

Participants and fans can shop the vendor midway for the best in new Chevy aftermarket performance parts or the gigantic swap meet for those hard-to-find restoration treasures.

JUPITER, Fla., (January 21, 2013) – Though winter is in full-swing for most of the country, Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) is heating up by planning the Super Chevy Show season opener scheduled for March 22 – 24, 2013.

Drag racing fans will fill the stands to watch the bracket racing action, from the DriveDuracell.com Bracket 1 race to the CamaroGuys.com Gen 5 Challenge at the first Super Chevy Show of 2013. Chevy Car show enthusiasts can check out the judged and non-judged car show entries, while the autocross participants compete and test their agility against the clock and cones for their personal best of the course.

Participants and fans can shop the manufacturers midway for new aftermarket performance parts or the swap meet for those hard-to-find restoration treasures. Kids are encouraged to join in the fun with the popular Revell Make ‘N Take model building program in the Car Show Awards Tent each day.

Car show participant perks include, 5th generation Camaros are welcome to join in the drag racing fun and participate in the CamaroGuys.com Gen 5 Challenge, trophy class on Saturday to see who’s got the fastest 5th gen. on the property. While all car show participants are encouraged to test their skill and agility on the autocross course that’s included in the two-day car show entry fee. In addition, car clubs entering the car show by March 15, can save $10 on each judged entry with 10 or more, and $15 with 20 or more!

In addition, the event will include Pro Mod Eliminations and special Pro Show attractions by SDI Motorsports’ Heat Wave Jet Car driven by Sam Ives, as well as the popular Super Winch Wheelstander, driven by Danny O’Day and Chevy Rebellion, driven by Richard Hutchins.
