Weekend highlighted by fast cars and an award winning car show

TUCSON, ARIZ. (May 6, 2015) –  Southwestern International Raceway™ (SWIR) welcomed the return of the Super Chevy Show last weekend as thousands of people gathered for the two-day event. The event was highlighted by bracket racing, a prestigious car show, swap meet, vendor midway and a pro show that featured Funny Cars and Jet Cars.Local racers came out for a chance to take home a coveted Super Chevy Show trophy and prize money after the event had been absent from the schedule for a decade. The bracket racing action was fierce, with Super Pro/Box, Pro/No Box classes and a street class. Brian Lopez from Tucson, Ariz. took the win from Robert Hall in the Super Pro/Box class when he ran a 10.007 second pass at 134.35 mph.
