Moment of Silence at Super Chevy Show for Sally Miksiewicz
We have lost a good friend.
Sally Miksiewicz was the CEO and vice chairperson of the East Penn Manufacturing Company.
Ms. Miksiewicz, 52, was killed June 20 when she was struck by a pickup truck while jogging near her home in Pike Township, Berks County.
East Penn, a family-owned company with more than 6,800 employees, is the second-largest employer in Berks County, where Maple Grove Raceway is located.
East Penn’s extensive product line includes Duracell auto batteries. Since 2011, Duracell (DriveDuracell.com) has been the Official Battery of the Super Chevy Show series.
It often was said she looked on East Penn’s employees as extended family. East Penn has been recognized for 13 consecutive years with the designation as one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania.
Thousands paid respects to Sally at a memorial service on June 27. The Super Chevy Show and Maple Grove Raceway will remember her with a moment of silence during the opening ceremonies of the event on July 13.
