BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (April 29, 2013) –  The Super Chevy Show presented by Chevrolet Performance and Original Parts Group (OPGI) is making a stop for the first time in over two decades at Auto Club Famoso Raceway May 31 – June 2, 2013.

Bakersfield California’s remarkable weather isn’t the only thing hard to beat during this season’s The Super Chevy Show presented by Chevrolet Performance and OPGI.

Spectators can anticipate West Coast Outlaw Pro-Mods to run 250mph down the drag along with all models of the fiercest Chevy vehicles to hit the strip in Bakersfield.

Test & tune begins at noon for an all makes and models afternoon of racing, kicking off the Chevy-packed weekend on Friday May 31st. Gates open at 8am and tech starts at 10am.

Participants will have a chance to compete in the second Super Chevy Magazine Triathlon of the season, where participants will compete in autocross, drag racing and brake stop challenge activities. However, the big question on everyone’s mind is who’s results will be better, the East Coast Super Chevy Magazine Triathlon participants at Palm Beach International Raceway or the West Coast’s from Auto Club Famoso Raceway?

The car show and time trials start on Saturday and continues all day with an all Chevy Gamblers race, the True Street Cruise, CamaroGuys.com Gen 5 Challenge trophy bracket class and qualifying begins for the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mods.

Sunday’s gates open at 8am with day two of the car show and big money bracket class time trials. Racers will be competing in the DriveDuracell.com Bracket 1 (Super Pro), Bracket 2 (Pro) and the DOT Street class featuring the fastest street cars and trucks, as well as the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Eliminations.

The weekend offers non-stop racing action along with an extraordinary car show, car corral, a vendor midway and an odds and ends swap meet.
