MOHNTON, Pa (July 18) – Big things usually happen when the Super Chevy Show visits Maple Grove Raceway.

But even the events supporters were impressed after this weekend’s event, which is part of the touring series’ 30th-year celebration, once again produced the top Chevy happening in the country.

It included large fields in both the sportsman racing and car show categories, and a high amount of vendors and buyers along the manufacturer’s midway. Among racers, it was the largest field at the Maple Grove Super Show since 2005.

Saturday’s highlights included qualifying for GM Outlaw Pro-Mod and car show winners for the Super Chevy Magazine Editor’s Choice Top 10 and Bill “Grumpy” Jenkins’ Top 10.

Sunday’s thrills included a great day of racing along with several winners in the car show.

Here is a brief run down of the racing and car show competition.

CAR SHOW RECAP: Arnold Warner, of Culpeper, Va., was the big winner on Sunday, taking home the Award of Excellence for his 1939 Chevy Conversion.
