Petersburg, Va. (April 1) – Drag racing, from its inception, has always been about power. It has always been about going as quick and as fast as possible, with the only consideration being what can a car do on the drag strip. That will change a bit when the Super Chevy Show, which is celebrating its 30th season, visits Virginia Motorsports Park from April 16-18.

Organizers of the series have a unique class that balances the raw power of drag racing with the average passenger car. It’s called True Street, and promises to be a crowd-pleaser when the class makes its season debut at VMP.

The True Street Cruise is so unconventional and gives many of the participants the opportunity to be a winner.
“VMP is excited to offer the True Street Cruise once again as part of its 2010 Super Chevy Show,” said Bryan Pierce, general manager of Virginia Motorsports Park.
