A Trio of Southern California Companies Headline the Super Chevy Show Autocross at Las Vegas
KANSAS CITY (Feb. 25, 2010) — Total Cost Involved, Wilwood Disc Brakes, and Currie Enterprises have become official sponsors of the first ever Autocross to be held at a Super Chevy Show. Autocross, a designed road course where individual drivers compete for the best timed run based on skill and speed, has become very popular not only with the sports car crowd, but with muscle car enthusiasts as well. The featured race will help kick off the 30th anniversary Super Chevy Show season at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, March 19-21. Participants will be able to bring their Camaros, Chevelles, Corvettes and more to compete against each other to see who will take home the honor of being the quickest and fastest on the Autocross course.
Autocross is not new to Total Cost Involved Engineering of Ontario, California, a manufacturer of frames, chassis, front and rear suspensions, brake kits, engine and transmission mounts, springs, shocks and more for street rods, classic cars, muscle cars and trucks for 36 years. Total Cost Involved has a very competitive 1968 Camaro that they plan to have 11-time SCCA Autocross Champion, Mary Pozzi, drive for them at the Las Vegas event. Pozzi is providing input to the SCCA chapter organizing the autocross.
Total Cost Involved Engineering component suppliers Wilwood Disc Brakes and Currie Enterprises also will be participating as they recognize the use of their products with autocross participants in muscle car and late model applications. Wilwood builds top-notch brake kits, calipers, pads, rotors, hubs, and master cylinders for street rod and muscle car applications that will be used on the autocross course.
